The final Optimo party in Glasgow, Scotland was this past Sunday, April 25 at the Sub Club. They broadcast the whole thing over awdio.com, Ripped In Glasgow recorded it, and thankfully uploaded it for everyone who missed out. Which is everyone on earth, minus the thousand or so people who made it through the door.
There is a lovely article over at resident advisor which has tried to sum up the legacy of the party through first hand accounts from regulars, staff and musicians (Liquid Liquid, The Rapture, Joakim, DFA, Hot Chip, etc) who have been a part of this thing for the past 12.5 years.
